Penelope Knowles (“Coach P”)
Penelope is the official 2013-2017 Athlete Representative for USA Gymnastics between in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Rhode Island State. She began her training as an Olympic trampolinist when she was eleven years old. In her 8 years of dedicated training, she traveled all over the United States and won many championships; most notably 6 consecutive State Championship titles, consecutive 1st Place titles at the Regional Championships, and in 2015, she claimed the spot of #5th best Gymnast in the country at Level 10. In addition, Penelope is a certified Superior Judge at USA Gymnastics sanctioned events and competitions. In 2017, Penelope decided to end her own competitive career in trampoline gymnastics to devote more energy towards creating future Olympians & US Champions. In addition, Penelope also coaches the Rising Stars YMCA Gymnastics & Tumbling team out of Westerly RI.
Don Dinh
Coach Don is the former Technical Chairman for USA Gymnastics (Trampoline & Tumbling Division) in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Rhode Island State. He is a Superior Judge at USA Gymnastics sanctioned events and competitions, and has trained many other judges. Don has upper Grad degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from both Boston University & Tufts University, and uses his knowledge to design, build, and weld state-of-the-art gymnastics and tumbling equipment. Although he has never competed, Don trained and practiced extensively under competitive coach Bill Young for numerous years. Don has headed many gymnastics & tumbling programs all across New England. He has produced multiple gymnastic champions and even Cirque du Soleil performers.
